There are only 12,000 wild cheetahs left on our planet Earth, and the goal of the Cheetah Conservation Fund is to help save this species from extinction. This is the job of Laurie Marker. Laurie lives on a ranch in Namibia that belongs to the Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF). She moved to Namibia in 1991 with the sole mission of saving the Cheetah. Together with her co-workers providing tasks that assist her in veterinary medicine, biological research and education, to retreiving and releasing a Cheetah back to the wild, Laurie has made a sincere and positive mark in saving this species from extinction. In her quest for assistance through donations, Laurie visits the U.S.A. once a year addressing and informing colleges, universities and scores of groups and organizations as to what is really going on regarding her "saving plan" for one of the most beautiful animals on Earth. You can find out much more information regarding the Cheetah`s chance for survival by contacting the Cheetah Conservation Fund online at www.cheetah.org. |
